Michael Scheller

Research Assistant

Background: Mike Sheller received his Bachelors of Science in heath at Oklahoma University in 1994. He graduated in 2001 from Sanford Brown College with an Associates as a Physical Therapist Assistant he is registered and licensed in the state of Missouri. Mr. Scheller currently works as a research assistant for multiple projects in the Social Participation Lab at the Washington University School of Medicine Program of Occupational Therapy Department. His duties include the recruitment and scheduling of participants for interviews and assessments, conducting interviews and assessments, as well as collecting, entering and maintaining subject data records. Other duties include the training, supervision, and mentoring of Occupational Therapy students who are involved in the social participation lab. The NIDRR projects Mr. Scheller is currently involved in include: The University of Pittsburg Model Center on Spinal Cord Injury,  The University of Kansas and The Independent Living Rehabilitation Research and Training Center. He is also involved a CDC project "Development of a Community Health Environment Checklist.
