Gerry Hendershot, PhD

Gerry Hendershot, PhD has a long history of work on disability issues including work of the revision of the International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps (ICIDH), now the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). He recently retired from the National Center for Health Statistics where he spearheaded effort to develop and later analyze data from the 1994-97 National Health Interview Survey on Disability. Dr. Hendershot’s knowledge of surveys and his continued interests in the contributors of disability will be of immense value in reviewing progress on this project.
