David W. Gray is a software engineer who worked for Microsoft Corporation from 1988 to 1996 where he was the team lead for the first Visual C++, designed tools for video compression, and integrated debugging functionality into integrated Development Environments. From 1996 to1998 he was vice-president of Sunhawk where he implemented an e-commerce solution for downloading an encrypted file over the Internet, previewing the first page, and selling the encryption key via credit card or account. In addition, he implemented a distributed, object-oriented database for tracking meta-information about files for sale and price, permissions and usage. He developed an internal web-site publishing tool that automatically generated the corporate web site and catalog based on user-defined templates combined with information from the aforementioned database. He will provide the project with expert advice on web based information tracking, display and participant privacy. |
