Alexandra Enders is Senior
Research Associate at the Research and Training Center on Rural Rehabilitation,
Rural Institute on Disabilities at the University of Montana. She has been
involved with information services, technology service delivery systems and
networks, equipment evaluation, device effectiveness studies, independent living
program development, public policy, funding and quality assurance issues, and
training activities at the Electronic Industries Foundation in Washington, D.C.,
the Rehabilitation Engineering Center at Children's Hospital at Stanford, and
the Center for Independent Living in Berkeley, California. She has published
widely and done workshops on technology related topics ranging from "Funding
Strategies for Assistive Technology" to "Finding the Information You Need" and
"Planning for Community Based Technology Service Delivery" to "Technology and
Aging" and "Do It Yourself Technology". Ms. Enders is a past president of RESNA,
the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Association of North
America. Ms. Ender’s vast knowledge of assistive technology and experience with
public policy and funding sources will be needed information for the assistive
technology professional and research participants. |
