Background:
Mrs. Walker is an
Occupational Therapist and Paraquad employee, serving as the Community Research
Project Manager on the “Assistive Technology in the Community” grant through the
Enabling Mobility Center (EMC). She is a graduate of the Masters in
Occupational Therapy program at Washington University and has worked in
industrial rehabilitation and human resource management prior to joining the
Enabling Mobility Center. Mrs. Walker works with Paraquad and Washington
University staff at the EMC, recruiting, selecting, scheduling, and performing
assessments. In addition, Mrs. Walker coordinates the monthly vendor
demonstrations, Assistive Technology Consumer Fairs, and provides assistive
technology resource packets. Currently, Mrs. Walker is coordinating with
research staff to prepare exercise programs and mobility skills course
evaluations for participants beginning the intervention phase of research. |
